Well…. India were destroyed by England in the just concluded Second test at Trent bridge, Nottingham.
Here is the ESPN CRICINFO report on the match  REPORT OF INDIA vs ENGLAND 2nd TEST .

Heroes of the English win, according to me are Stuart Broad (70,6-46) in the first innings of the test, Ian Bell (159) and Tim Bresnan (90 and 5-48).

Well India also had a silver lining of  Rahul Dravid (115) and Sachin Tendulkar (56) in their miserable display.

Many people are going to post mortem it. But I just want to have a say what i want. 😛

India missed a huge huge opportunity when they let England off when England was 124/8 and they made 221. And then themselves loosing their last 6 wickets for around 24-30 runs and gaining just 56 runs lead.

Then they still had England on rope when Ian Bell came to their rescue along with Eoin Morgan,Matt Prior,Tim Bresnan and Broad again.
India were hurt from the lack of performance of their main spinner Harbhajan Singh, hopelessly out of form and an absent Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Zaheer Khan.

Also Dhoni really missed having a true all-rounder in the team. The opening pair really need some tuning up. Mukund despite being trying hard has not been able to handle the short stuff thrown at him. The same with Suresh Raina. Raina was set up with the short ball in both innings and got out playing the short ball by either pulling or hooking it.

Now they need to pick themselves up before the next test match. They have a practice match at Birmingham and need to test their bench strength.  They should really pray Sehwag is fit and fine. It was nice to see Tendulkar amongst runs.Best thing of all was to see Yuvraj play so positively and so nicely.

He looked good in his innings of 65 today and hope that he gets his 100th ton in the next test match.

India need to play out of their skins to win atleast 1 test and save their No.1 status.
